ECC (formerly Everything Claude Code) is a big bundle of agents, skills, hooks, MCP configs and security tooling you install into Claude Code through the plugin marketplace. It covers code review, security analysis, planning, per-language reviewers, TDD workflows and even video editing. The repo is MIT licensed.
It works best in Claude Code, has a supported Codex sync path, and offers capability-limited adapters for Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Zed, Copilot and others, so don't assume parity outside Claude. The bundle grows every release, now dozens of agents and a few hundred skills, and slash commands are being phased out in favor of skills. Install only from the official repo, npm packages or ecc.tools: the README warns third-party mirrors may carry malware.
The repo is free. ECC Pro, a hosted GitHub App, is $19 per seat a month or $190 a year and adds private-repo analysis, PR-triggered config audits and deeper AgentShield scanning; Enterprise adds SSO and custom policy packs. Solo devs: install the free bundle and keep what you use. Teams that want automatic config audits on private repos: that's what Pro sells.
The catch: that much surface area is a lot to audit. Hooks run automatically on editor events, and pulling in agents and skills you didn't ask for makes your setup harder to reason about. One maintainer ships it weekly across several harnesses, so expect churn.
Free vs Self-Hosted vs Paid
open coreFree: The whole OSS bundle under MIT: agents, skills, hooks, MCP configs, install profiles. The hosted GitHub App's free tier covers public repos only, 10 analyses a month.
Self-hosted: Nothing to host for the bundle; it installs into Claude Code (plugin ecc@ecc) or via the ecc-universal npm package.
Paid (GitHub App): Pro $19 per active developer seat per month, or $190 a year, with 50 analyses per seat pooled, private-repo analysis, PR-triggered audits, AgentShield-backed scanning and priority support. Enterprise is contact sales: unlimited analyses, SSO-ready governance, audit logs, custom rules and policy packs, SLA.
The bundle is free under MIT. ECC Pro, the hosted GitHub App for private repos, is $19 per seat a month.
