Motion films that never cut to the next slide: every beat grows out of the one before, one continuous camera, continuity measured by an oracle. A Claude Agent Skill for product launch films and feature demos.

onetake is a Claude skill that makes short product launch films, 10 to 30 seconds, in one continuous camera move: every scene grows out of the one before instead of cutting to the next slide. Your agent builds each film as an animated web page, then renders it frame by frame to MP4 with a headless browser and ffmpeg. No video model, no API keys, no Remotion. It is not open source, though. The license is PolyForm Noncommercial.
Install is a git clone into your skills folder, then a heavier local toolchain: Python with Playwright and Chromium, numpy, scipy, Pillow and a few more, plus ffmpeg and Node. Optional narration uses local Kokoro text-to-speech and faster-whisper for subtitles. A checker scores whether each shot actually carries into the next and fails renders with uniform pacing or clipped audio. Finals render at 4K60, so expect long renders on a laptop.
Hobbyists, students and anyone making a film for a personal project can use it free. Companies can't: a launch video for a product you sell is commercial use, the author offers no commercial license, and the one person who asked hasn't heard back. Vincentwei1021/video-shotcraft covers similar ground under Apache 2.0, with Remotion's own license on top.
The catch beyond the license: the public version is deliberately trimmed (a commit removed tuned defaults), the showcase films ship without their source, and an open pull request says the skill's description runs past the spec's 1,024-character limit, which can stop agents from loading it. The project is days old.
Free vs Self-Hosted vs Paid
source availableFree: Free for noncommercial use only under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 (personal, educational, research). Bundled fonts are OFL. No music is bundled; the skill tells you to source royalty-free tracks yourself.
Self-hosted: Runs locally inside Claude Code or another agent that reads skills. Needs Python 3 with Playwright + Chromium, numpy, scipy, Pillow, matplotlib, fonttools, ffmpeg/ffprobe and Node; opencv-python for reference-clip analysis; faster-whisper and Kokoro (weights placed manually) for narration. No paid APIs or cloud calls.
Paid: No commercial license is offered or priced. Using it for company or client launch videos is not permitted under the current license.
Free for personal and noncommercial projects only. There is no way to buy a commercial license today.
