WeChatBridge

WeChatBridge gets WeChat conversations out of WeChat and into your AI tools or your notes. Select messages in WeChat for Mac, choose merge-forward, and it hands the export to Claude, ChatGPT, Doubao or Qwen, or writes it into Obsidian as a Markdown note. MIT, free, macOS 14 or later.

What matters is how it gets the data. It doesn't decrypt WeChat's database or inject code into the app, which is how most WeChat exporters work and why they risk bans. It uses the share-to-other-apps feature WeChat itself added in version 4.1.13, so only what you deliberately select moves. It does ask for Accessibility permission to paste into the target app, and optionally Screen Recording to read the chat name.

Anyone who runs work through WeChat and wants to summarize threads or file them in Obsidian: this is the low-risk way to do it. It's a fork of qzz0518's Dukou, which also handles batch text backup.

The catch is whose words you're moving. Group chats hold other people's messages, and this makes it one click to paste them into a cloud AI service. That's a consent question no tool can answer for you.
