Switching Cost
OpusClip locks you in with convenience, not data. Your source videos are already yours and the output is plain MP4 files, so there is nothing to migrate in the usual sense. The open source option, AI-Youtube-Shorts-Generator, reproduces the core loop from a CLI or as a Python library: transcribe, rank segments for virality, and crop to vertical. It does not burn in captions, and it does not reproduce the surrounding product: scheduled posting, AI B-roll, voice-over, speech cleanup, or a browser editor.
