yomiyasu

Yomiyasu rewrites AI-generated Japanese into Japanese that reads like a person wrote it. It targets the tells: stacked metaphors, fuzzy subject-predicate links, decorative formatting, copywriter phrasing. Its top rule is to keep each sentence's claim, emphasis and strength unchanged and never add information. It's an MIT agent skill for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.

Install with npx skills add nanaism/yomiyasu. Two optional Python checkers, a linter and an original-versus-rewrite diff, use only the standard library and make no network calls. Without Python the skill falls back to checking by eye. Separate modes handle tech writing, business documents and essays.

Anyone publishing Japanese docs, PR descriptions or internal reports drafted with AI should try it; it costs only the tokens your agent spends. Everyone else can skip it, since it only does Japanese. The author is an ALGO ARTIS engineer, but the README says plainly this is a personal project, not a company product.

The catch: the instructions are long (around 44 KB) and load into context every time the skill triggers, and the README warns it can conflict with other Japanese style skills. It's also a one-person project that went from launch to v1.0.7 in under a week.
