NotionNext turns a Notion workspace into a real website. You keep writing in Notion, and this Next.js template renders it as a fast blog, portfolio, or docs site with a couple dozen themes to choose from. It's MIT and free, which is the whole pitch: the paid Notion-to-site services charge monthly for roughly this.

There's no server to run, but setup is a multi-step self-serve flow: copy a Notion template, fork the repo, deploy to Vercel, wire in your Notion page IDs as env vars, pick a theme. Not hard, but not one-click either. Node 22 and Yarn if you want to develop locally.

For an individual or a small team that already lives in Notion and wants a real site without paying Super.so or Potion.so every month, this is a strong free option. You trade a monthly bill for an afternoon of setup, and for most people who can follow a README that's a good trade.

The catch is the foundation. NotionNext renders through the unofficial react-notion-x library against Notion's private API, so when Notion changes something or rate-limits you, your site can break or slow down, and that's out of your control. The docs and community also skew heavily Chinese-language, so English support can be thinner than the popularity suggests. Free and capable, with a dependency you don't own.
