The Lens

AList-TvBox sits between AList and TvBox and turns cloud drives into a TV channel list. AList mounts a dozen cloud storage accounts behind one interface. TvBox is an Android app for set-top boxes that plays whatever a subscription URL points at. This bridges them, aggregating AList, Emby, Jellyfin, Bilibili, YouTube, and live streams into one TvBox config with search across all of it and a web UI to manage it.
Deployment is a single Docker command on port 4567. Default credentials are admin and admin, so change them before the container touches anything routable. It is Java, so the image is heavier than a Go equivalent, but there is no database to provision. The storage backends it targets are Aliyun, Baidu, Quark, 115, and PikPak, which tells you the audience: the Chinese cloud drive ecosystem first.
Free, with no paid tier and no hosted version to buy.
The catch is bigger than the software. The repository ships no license file, which means you have no grant to use, modify, or redistribute it. Absent a license, all rights stay reserved by default. Documentation is Chinese-first, and the ecosystem this plugs into is largely used to stream media nobody paid for. What you point it at is on you.
Free vs Self-Hosted vs Paid
fully freeFree tier: The whole project. Docker image, web UI, spider plugin management, and every source integration are available at no cost.
Self-hosted: The only way to run it. One Docker container on port 4567, no external database. Costs are a box to run it on and the cloud drive subscriptions behind it, since Aliyun, Baidu, Quark, 115, and PikPak all sell their own storage and speed tiers. The default admin and admin credentials are the first thing to change.
Paid: Nothing sold by the project. Note that "free" here is about price, not rights: with no license file in the repository, you are relying on the author's tolerance rather than a legal grant.
No cost, but no license either. You are paying in legal ambiguity instead of dollars.
What to do by team size
- Solo
- free
- Small team
- free; not something to put on a company network
- Medium team
- Skip it; the missing license is a compliance problem
- Large team
- Skip it; no license means no legal basis to deploy
