px0
px0 is an IDE built for reviewing AI-generated code, optimized for speed. It turns your browser into a zero-latency console with native Git and GitHub integrations, instant search across massive codebases, and seamless handoff to local AI coding harnesses.

px0 is a code viewer built for the job AI coding created: reading what the agent wrote. One Go binary serves an editor-style UI in your browser, opens GitHub, GitLab, Gitea/Forgejo or Bitbucket pull requests straight from a URL, and lets you comment inline, approve, merge, or hand a fix back to Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent, Aider or Goose. MIT licensed and free.
Install is one curl | sh, or build from source. It's light: the daemon claims 20-30 MB of RAM, and you can run it on a remote box and open it from your laptop's browser. There's no paid tier; the design-partner program for 10+ engineer teams buys a Slack line to the core team, not features. Solo, small and large teams: free. It's a review pane, not a VS Code or Cursor replacement.
The catch: there's no authentication. Anyone who can reach the port can edit files. An open bug report, which I checked against the current source, shows read endpoints skip the Host check, so a DNS-rebinding web page could read your files and a saved GitHub token, even on localhost. Release binaries also send anonymous telemetry unless you pass --no-telemetry.
Free vs Self-Hosted vs Paid
fully freeFree: Everything. MIT-licensed single Go binary for macOS, Linux, Windows and the BSDs: PR review for GitHub, GitLab, Gitea/Forgejo and Bitbucket Cloud, Git panel, fuzzy and regex search, quick edits, optional LSP, and dispatch to your local coding agent.
Self-hosted: It only runs on your machine or a server you control (px0 -host 0.0.0.0 for remote use). There is no auth layer, so put it behind Tailscale, WireGuard or a reverse proxy you trust. Release binaries send anonymous PostHog telemetry unless you pass --no-telemetry, set DO_NOT_TRACK=1 or PX0_TELEMETRY=0; source builds without a key send none.
Paid: No paid tier and no published pricing. A design-partner program for teams of 10+ engineers offers Slack Connect access to the core team and roadmap input, with no price listed. Your real costs are the coding agents it hands work to.
Free for everyone with no paid tier. The only bills are the AI coding agents you hand fixes to.
