Flowbite gives Tailwind CSS the ready-made parts it never shipped with: buttons, modals, dropdowns, navbars, forms, datepickers. Basically, it plays the Bootstrap role on top of Tailwind. The core library is free and MIT licensed, with over 68 components plus free chart and datatable plugins.
Setup is npm install flowbite plus a few CSS imports, built for Tailwind v4. Interactive pieces run on plain JavaScript via HTML data attributes, so Rails or a static site works fine. React, Vue, Svelte and Angular each get a separate Flowbite library.
Flowbite Pro is a one-time purchase: $299 for the Developer edition, $169 for the Figma-only Designer edition, or $999 for a Developer team license covering up to 10 people. It adds 450+ premium sections, admin dashboards and Figma files. Solo: free, or $299 to buy a dashboard instead of building one. Small teams: $999 once. Larger teams: past 10 seats it's a custom quote.
The catch: Pro's coded blocks are HTML and React only. Vue, Svelte and Angular Pro components are still pre-orders. Tailwind Plus closed to new customers when Tailwind Labs joined Shopify, so compare against free daisyUI or shadcn/ui. And the core repo's last release shipped in May 2026.

Separate free libraries exist for React, Vue, Svelte and Angular. Works with Tailwind CSS v4.
Self-hosted: Nothing to host. It is a frontend library installed with npm install flowbite or loaded from a CDN, and it compiles into your own app. Pro is a download of source files you also ship inside your own project.
Paid: Flowbite Pro is a one-time payment with lifetime updates from the roadmap and 1 year of renewable support. Developer edition $299 (excl. taxes, single user): 450+ premium Marketing, Application, Publisher and E-commerce blocks, admin dashboard and landing page templates, React/TypeScript blocks and a Next.js admin dashboard, plus Figma files. Designer edition $169 (excl. taxes): the Figma design system only. Team licenses: $999 for Developer, $499 for Designer, covering up to 10 team members at one company (no stacking since July 17, 2025); more than 10 means a custom quote. Unlimited projects on every license, but the Pro license bans building a competing UI kit, theme, template or page builder. Vue, Svelte and Angular Pro components are pre-order only. 30-day refund.
The MIT core is free and covers most everyday UI. Pro is a one-time $299 for one developer or $999 for a team of up to 10, worth it when you need admin dashboards and app layouts in HTML or React.
